Student Organizations

Student organizations are a great way to meet people with similar interests, build leadership and professional skills, take part in service and outreach, and connect classroom learning with the wider world. Students can participate in organizations across the School and in related K-State programs.

Earth and geoscience organizations

  • Williston Geology Club brings students together for outreach, field trips, outdoor activities, and other geoscience experiences.
  • AAPG-SEG Student Chapter connects students with petroleum geology, geophysics, and related professional interests and activities.

Geography and geospatial organizations

  • Gamma Theta Upsilon (GTU), Beta Psi Chapter is K-State’s award-winning chapter of the international geography honor society and Geography Club. Activities include seminars, service, field trips, social events and Geography Awareness Week.

Environmental and natural resource organizations

  • Ecology Club explores ecology and environmental science through research, career development and related activities.
  • Soil and Water Conservation Society supports students interested in conservation and natural resource management while building professional connections.
  • Student Chapter of the American Fisheries Society connects students interested in fisheries, aquatic science and conservation.
  • Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society provides professional and educational opportunities for students interested in wildlife and habitat management.
  • Students for Environmental Action brings together students interested in sustainability, conservation and environmental issues on campus and in the community.
  • Wheat State Agronomy Club connects students with agronomy, agricultural issues and professionals through campus, regional and national activities.

Many organizations welcome students from more than one major. K-State also has hundreds of registered student organizations, giving you even more ways to find community and get involved.
