The Department of State’s visa site has official information on the visa application process. We encourage our international attendees to apply for their visas as early as possible - preferably at least 4 months before the meeting. The National Academies website http://www.nationalacademies.org/visas has a lot of additional information. If you have difficulty getting your visa, you may complete the questionnaire on their site. They are not associated with the government, but can be a helpful resource for scientists.
