The Riley County Genealogical Society installs the first of 10 planner historical markers on Linear Trail. This first marker commemorates the settlement of Manhattan, originally named Polistra, in 1854. The Center has been a huge supporter of this project and our Digital Projects website houses the information relating to this work.
