You can shape well-being at K-State.

The National College Health Assessment (NCHA) is an online, nationally recognized survey used by more than 1,000 colleges and universities across the United States to improve campus health and well-being programs.

Your participation matters. Student responses give us an overall picture of student health on our campus and directly influence the health and well-being programs we offer!

Quick facts about the NCHA:

  • It is online and confidental.
  • It takes about 20-30 minutes and you can take it from anywhere.
  • It covers a wide range of health topics. Think mental health, nutrition, exercise, sleep and more.
  • After the 2024 NCHA survey, K-State took action based on responses. A few highlights are:
    • We learned that food insecurity is a real concern on campus, so we took steps to make Cats' Cupboard more available and accessible to all.
    • We learned that a sense of belonging and connection is important--but not always easy to achieve. We invested in programs and initiatives (like Oakley the Therapy Dog, Better Together and Cats Connect) to create opportunities for intentional relationship-building.
I'm in! What do I do next?
A random sample of 10,000 K-State students will receive an email on February 15 with the subject line, "Take the K-State Health and Well-being Survey."

If you were one of the students selected to participate, you'll be able to access the survey from that email. (Make sure to check your K-State email to see if you were selected!)

You'll have until March 7th to complete the survey.

Perks for taking the survey:

Students who complete the survey will be entered to win one of 12 Amazon gift cards ranging from $25 to $100.

The first 200 students to complete the survey and stop by the Morrison Family Center for Student Well-being to show proof of completion will also receive $10 to use at the K-State Student Union.
