Registrar's Office Updates (Pfaff)

  • Advising Survey – Charlotte updated the group after visiting with Dr. Lynch about the advising survey. It starts later so that most of the advisors have been assigned. A discussion about how advisors are assigned, when, what reports are utilized, etc. Some colleges wait until 20th day to assign advisors, while some utilize the master extract before 20th day and run frequently to assign advisors. One suggestion was to devise a way for the advisor that meets with the student, to have the ability to assign the survey. Charlotte will investigate.
  • Bundle 34 -- Preferred name will display in class rosters and grade rosters
  • Bundle 35 -- Coming soon, class search and student self center changes.
  • K-State 8 tags (for 1-2 hour classes)- investigation in process, performing manual updates.
  • Midterms – Discussion about how the midterm process is different for both instructors and students than at the end of semester. Causes confusion at times.
  • Fall 2014 -- Upcoming important dates
  • Fall 2014 -- Grades and holiday schedule
  • Spring 2015 – Enrollment – Discussion regarding if the holds could display the term? Charlotte will investigate.
  • Fall/Summer 2015 -- Class scheduling
  • Big 12 Business and Enrollment Services annual meeting

iSIS Projects Recently Completed

  • PeopleTools 8.53.12 - Completed 1 day early! (Blake/Letourneau) – One lingering issue is the ability to set a Favorites in iSIS. The new tools version and the K-State branding are conflicting. Letourneau investigating.
  • Initial Release of KSU Advisor Center (Dandaneu/Blake/Letourneau) – Phase 2 in February 2015, student pages and notes. Letourneau reported 403 advisors using new center and 1340 audits ran.
  • iSIS-EAB Integration (Dandaneau/Blake) – Demo went well, interesting information reviewed that would be helpful for advising. Only a few month agreement at this time with vendor.
  • iSIS-Canvas Integration (Letourneau)
