Undergraduate Admissions Office Updates (Blankley)

  1. Processing applications for Summer 2014 through Fall 2015 terms.
  2. August O&E for new students will be August 21st and 22nd. #’s look about the same as last year.

iSIS Outage – July 2014 (L. Wilson)

  1. The outage was caused by data storage issues. Those have been identified and new back-up procedures are being implemented. There is daily monitoring and reporting of back-ups. Weekly meetings with IT staff. iSIS was down to the public for several days in July while administrative staff recovered as much of the data as could be identified. Thank you to all staff that worked through the weekend so iSIS could be open again on July 21st. Communications to students and other iSIS users will continue as the fall semester begins.
  2. $5M hardware purchase was approved in early July. This will be a process of the next year to move old hardware to the new hardware.

Prepare to deploy new KSU Advisor Center

Diana Blake shared the timeline for development which started in Jan 2013 and extends through September 2014 for the first phases release. Large project team and a 20 member ambassador team are incremental in this project. Deployment to production is slated for Sept 2nd. There will be articles in K-State Today and emails about the new KSU Advisor Center and available training sessions.
