Textbook Reporting Project (LeTourneau)

Group met last week and determined where textbook information will be in iSIS. (Student Center, REG site) There will be icons for Varney’s, Folletts, and KSU Vet Med bookstores. Textbook information will go live March 1 for Fall 2010 enrollment.

End of Semester Processes (Crow)

Handout: Overview of Major End of Semester Processes Fall 2009)
Grade rosters will be run December 11, which allows time to correct enrollment issues. Grade rosters will be available after 6:00 PM on December 11. Do we need an opening page for faculty? A resource page for faculty? We need student view. Mike will send sample.

Honors/Warning/Dismissal reports will be available in report repository by 9:30 or 10:00 AM on December 23. Will there be notification when new reports are added to repository?

Census Adjustment Survey (Crow)

Handout: screen shot of 2010 Census Adjustment
Census Adjustment Survey HOLD will be applied in iSIS on January 4, 2010 when graduation application is available. This survey is a State of Kansas requirement. HOLD comes off automatically as soon as survey is completed. Survey remains open until April 25. Federal survey includes ethnicity. Mike will create a student per college so we can review survey as students will see it.

Class Roster Adjustment (Crow)

Handout: Class Roster
“Last Update” and “Last Enrollment Request Source” have been added to class roster so date of enrollment and date of auto-enrollment from waitlist can be determined.

On January 19 (and possibly repeated Jan 20 and 21), REG will email faculty reminding them about the WAITLIST purge and how to retain a copy of the waitlist. Purge will occur on January 22, 2010 at 8:00 AM. Students will be notified by email. Question: why does iSIS allow students to waitlist a class that has a time conflict? (They’ll never move off the waitlist if they have a conflicting class.)

Other Items

iSIS Security Access Termination Request Form (Crow)

Handout: Termination form
Termination form is available on REG website, as is form for service indicators.

Updating Term Information in iSIS Catalog (Crow)

Handout: My Planner, list of courses and when offered.
Mike will send spreadsheet. Review list and update by summer (June). Updates require Faculty Senate action – can “fast-track” procedure used in early stages of iSIS preparation be used? Can “I, II, S” be changed to “F, S, U”? Courses offered in different terms on Manhattan and Salina campuses need to be accommodated.

Class Schedule Training (Crow)

A “big push” is planned in spring to get everyone into class schedule training. Cryptic class titles are being examined.

Non-Standard Session Grade Rosters (Crow)

Mike has requested that faculty be emailed when grade rosters for non-standard session classes have been posted.

Graduation Application (Crow)

Revised Grad App is being tested before a work session. New version has fewer pages, a confirmation page, and email confirmation upon successful submission. Please identify five students to test. Email five names with email address and WID to Mike. Plan is to have the revised application available January 4. Question: what about generating reader cards? Still needs to be worked on.

eID and Email Policy for Former Students and Graduates (Gould)
