Update from Reporting Subcommittee (Mike Perl/Mike Crow)

See handouts. Class Schedule Report is not in the sample packet. Adviser/Advisee Report is very close. Inactive students are supposed to be purged from adviser/advisee lists in February, September and May. Notification was requested when the Adviser/Advisee Report is ready. Question: should departments have access to Master Extract?

Howard reported that the “data dictionary” should be published next week to help identify fields in reports. A “report catalog” is being developed, which should provide guidance on where reporting requests should go (e.g., REG or Planning and Analysis).

“Run Control ID” SQR

When will Master Extract be ready? Soon.

Suggestion: Add to chart – who’s the prime user?

Class Scheduler Refresher Sessions (Mike Crow)

Encourage participation at the Class Schedule refresher sessions for data entry personnel. Sessions may be offered for reviewers. Training may be needed for curriculum committees.

Graduation Honors Calculation/Report (Mike Crow)

This needs to be a standardized University report to determine who qualifies for honors per University policy and to order honor cords.

On-line application for graduation clearance will be shut down May 8. After that date, manual entry will be required, using old printed forms.

Returning students can apply for graduation and do NOT have to apply for readmission – but they do have to have a user profile created. The process needs to be clarified for both the Help Desk and the Task Force.

Minors/Secondary Majors/Certificates. Subcommittee will review process and set priorities. Send comments to subcommittee. Note: not all certificate completers are pursuing degrees.
