  • O&E registration is up by 148.

“Mike’s List” and Other Issues

Reinstatement Readmits:

Submit a plan change form with notice of reinstatement if student is changing plans.

Curriculum changes/Plan changes:

Some plans have been changed in SIS but not in iSIS. A report will be run and clean up will be started next week.

Registrar’s staff changes:

Need a list of who does what. Nielsen: position descriptions are being rewritten.

Dismissals in iSIS:

Will be entered by June 12 (maybe) or by July 15 billing date (definitely).

Inactive advisees:

A one-shot script will be written to clean out inactive advisees.

Running reports:

Jennifer Gehrt will send instructions for running reports. (Instructions for printing class schedule would be helpful.)

DARS for inactive students:

Can audit be run for former students? Perhaps by fall.

“Run Control”:

Click on “Add” if never run before. Use eID as name or any descriptor. Once made, run controls cannot be deleted from list.

Warning/Dismissal status in iSIS:

Still trying to figure it out – probably will be in program/plan area. May be in place by June 12. Schedules for dismissed students have not yet been dropped. Will dismissal status appear on student page? “To be determined.”

Program/Plan information:

Why is this information not in Student Service Center? Security issue. Program/plan is an important piece of information for student identification – would be helpful to have it easily accessible.

Class permissions:

Emplids were changed due to a “bug.”

Student name and address:

Beginning June 3, students can update preferred name, address, phone, non-KSU e-mail, emergency information. This information will no longer be maintained in KATS. Note: international students can only have a non-US address as permanent address, and cannot change permanent address to a US address in iSIS.

GR/UG duplicate enrollment:

Some students have enrolled in same course for both undergraduate and graduate credit. Try to clean up before billing – or student will be billed for both courses.

Drop/add:

Gunile DeVault will offer special training for drop/add transactions.

Class roster view:

All colleges confirmed that class roster view (names only) should be added to adviser role. Need class meeting times associated with class rosters. Grades will NOT be visible.

Midterms:

Mike Lynch wants to collect midterm grades for all new students enrolled in regular term, including DCE students but not including graduate students and high school students. “New” is defined as 1st term of enrollment in Summer/Fall or Spring. Jennifer Gehrt will review current policy in University Handbook with Mike Lynch. Midterm rosters will be generated for all classes that have new students enrolled. Faculty will be notified by e-mail.

Date and Time for Next Meeting.

Next meeting will be July 2 at 10:30 AM in 113 Seaton.
