This award recognizes and honors outstanding achievements by graduate students conducting research or educational activities associated with the Konza Prairie Biological Station. It perpetuates the name and memory of Christopher Edler, an outstanding graduate student and teacher dedicated to research on the Konza Prairie, who died December 1993.
To perpetuate the memory and name of Michael Scott Watkins who lost his life in 1973 while a graduate student at Kansas State University. It is intended that this living memorial shall provide academic recognition and financial assistance to graduate students at Kansas State University who have distinguished themselves in teaching.

To perpetuate the name and memory of H. Henley Haymaker on the campus of Kansas State University where he devoted 45 years of his life as a professor on the biological sciences faculty. Contributions recognize an outstanding senior graduate student annually, who gives a presentation at the Division of Biology Annual Graduate Student Forum, and provides funds for the Haymaker Teaching Award for Faculty.
The purpose of this fund is to provide financial support and perpetuate the name of James Ackert, Professor of Zoology and first Dean of the Kansas State University Graduate School. Contributions recognize a graduate student annually, that has completed two years or less and has given a presentation at the Division of Biology Annual Graduate Student Forum.
