Have you ever wondered if you're managing university records the right way?

Join Danielle Hall, K-State’s university records manager, from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Nov. 19, over Zoom for Records Management 101, or ARM103. This engaging and informative session will provide clarity on the essential do's and don’ts of managing university records, helping you navigate your responsibilities with confidence and accuracy.

This course is designed for all university employees who create or manage records — including faculty, staff and student workers.

Participants will gain a clear understanding of:

  • The importance of records management and its role in university operations.
  • How to interpret and apply the university’s records retention schedule.
  • Legal obligations related to both paper and electronic records.
  • How to distinguish between records and non-records.
  • The process for updating the university retention schedule.
  • Better practices for the responsible use of AI in managing university-owned records and data.
