  3. Food Safety and Biosecurity

    • identify and categorize risks, challenges and solutions in the food system
    • recognize, evaluate and control food-borne agents and toxins
    • understand the influence of policies, globalization and international trade on food safety and biosecurity

  4. Public Health Physical Activity

    • perform physical activity promotion research
    • create an evidence-based physical activity practice
    • understand the psychological, social and environmental factors associated with physically active lifestyles

    For my applied practice experience I worked with Fort Riley in the public health department. I had the opportunity to perform a Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) assessment for food that goes to the commissary.
