What does Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in religion look like to you?
KSUnite DEIB Conference Day 1 - November 14, 2022 - Breakout Sessions Period 2 (3:30pm-4:20pm)
Room 227
This panel discussion will provide a platform for all K-State students and faculty the opportunity to reflect on their personal interpretations of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as these principles apply to religion. Perspectives on DEI can vary greatly between individuals, and particular aspects of an individual's faith will impact this perspective. Attendees should expect to actively participate in discussions of DEI and religious plurality. Sensitive beliefs will be discussed; attendees are expected to remain respectful of religious differences at all times.
By discussing personal faith traditions and the importance of religious plurality at Kansas State University, students will come away with a better understanding of how faiths or worldviews weave into different cultures, and how these differences weave a cultural tapestry.
