You can adapt the FireWorks approach to anger management to a variety of different situations even though our emphasis here is on parental anger. We have resources for professionals you can obtain for use in your own programs.
You can obtain a set of low reading level resources titled FireWorks: Anger Management and the Effective Use of Power that is integrated in Basic Parenting, a comprehensive parent education program now available from Kansas State University. This module or “PLUS” program adds new principles and skills Insights to the core Basic Parenting program. These Insights, like Basic Parenting as a whole, is written at a 5.5 grade level. You can order just this module if you wish.
You can also order a board game on anger management called A Week With Mary and Julep that parents and students (about 13 years and older) can play.
