Short Biography:

I was born in Rota, Spain in 1989 to my wonderful parents, who are Kansas natives. My father served 20 years of active duty in the Marine Corps and we moved every three years. We have also lived in California, Virginia, Missouri, Kansas, Oregon and Japan. I graduated high school in Fredericksburg, Virginia and knew I wanted to return to Kansas where our extended family resides. I received my BS in history from K-State in 2011 and am currently attending graduate school at K-State to receive my MA in history. Though I had a bustling life growing up, I still feel the most at home in Kansas and am enjoying my new life here!

Brief Work History:

I worked as a student assistant in the Dean's Office of Arts and Sciences at K-State through my undergraduate years and learned a lot of vital information. I also worked for the Marine Corps in Virginia one summer and did an internship in 2011 with Geary County Historical Society managing and organizing World War II veteran interviews for the Library of Congress. Currently, I work in the Architecture department providing support to the Department Head, Associate Head, Academic Advisor, faculty and students and love what I do and the people I work with.

Personal Interests:

I have a Shiba Inu puppy named Boone that is the love of my life. I love to read and am obsessed with my Kindle because of it. I have an original mint green 1965 Chevy El Camino that my father is doing a frame up restoration on and I will probably be able to drive it in 5 plus years because, it takes a lot longer than you would think.

Additional Comments

I was very eager to join Classifed Senate and am excited to make new personal connections on campus and to contribute to the university as much as possible.
