Female volunteers needed for research on women's perception of nighttime safety

Submitted by Maryam Kazemidemneh

Maryam Kazemidemneh, doctoral candidate in the College of Architecture, Planning & Design, is seeking women 18-65 — specifically Black or African American women and women between 50 to 65 — to participate in a study that examines women's perception of safety at night under different lighting conditions.

Participants will experience a series of virtual reality environments while wearing a headset. The session, which includes completing a brief survey, will take approximately 90 minutes. As a token of appreciation, compensation of $17 will be provided upon completion.

Help shape the future of nighttime safety and urban planning strategies in our communities by participating in this research. If you would like to participate, or if you have questions, please contact Kazemidemneh at maryamk@k-state.edu

This study has received Institutional Review Board approval No. 11813.
