Register for the upcoming data carpentry workshop

Submitted by Cailin Wycoff

Join K-State Libraries from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 4-5, 2024, for a free virtual Data Carpentry for Ecologists workshop.

Data carpentry develops fundamental data skills needed to conduct research. Its target audience is researchers who have little to no prior computational experience, and its lessons are domain-specific, building on learners' existing knowledge to enable them to quickly apply skills to their own research. Participants will be encouraged to help one another and to apply what they have learned to their own research problems.

Spots for this two-day workshop are limited — those interested can sign up online. Participants are expected to attend both days. If the session is full, interested parties may join the waitlist by emailing cads@k-state.edu. The sessions will all be held via Zoom and will not be recorded.
