Submitted by Patrice Scott

Whether you have a deep connection to Iran or are simply curious to explore Iranian food and culture, please join the Iranian Graduate Students Association for Yalda Night from 6-10 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, in the Grand Ballroom at the K-State Student Union.

Yalda Night is an ancient festival dating back to 502 BC that celebrates the winter solstice and holds significant cultural importance in Iran. It will be a night of music, energetic dancing, and many different foods, fruits, nuts, pastries and non-alcoholic beverages.

The evening features a live music performance, "Leili and Majnoon" by Maliheh Moradi and Ehsan Matoori, along with traditional Iranian music and dance plus a skilled DJ curating various Iranian music.

Register online, and come prepared for an evening of joy, laughter and cultural exchange.
