Learn how to read plays and screenplays in THTRE 280: Script Analysis. In this course, students will consider a number of plays and develop practical strategies for reading and analyzing scripts with an eye toward production. We will analyze both dramatic works and screenplays.

The course is three credit hours and counts toward a literary/rhetorical and film studies certificate. 

Works include: Sophocles' "Antigone," Sondheim's "Assassins," Shakespeare's "Macbeth," "Spring Awakening: The Musical," "Fun Home," August Wilson's "The Piano Lesson" and Caryl Churchill's "Blue Kettle."

The course meets from 11:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Enter THTRE 280 (16296) into your cart.
