Jason Maseberg-Tomlinson, director of the Student Access Center, was recognized as Professional Staff of the Week at the Feb. 28 women's home basketball game. Faculty Senate, the Office of the President, K-State Athletics and the Division of Communications and Marketing wish to recognize his contributions to K-State.

Through his work, Maseberg-Tomlinson strives to find unique solutions to address individual needs and to develop thoughtful plans to help each student attain their goals both in their academic and personal lives. Maseberg-Tomlinson's passion and professional role are to advocate for student and faculty equity alike.

His role frequently involves having tough conversations that are necessary to find solutions that work for all parties involved. His work takes a holistic approach to all involved in making the university a great place to be. He always keeps accessibility at the forefront of his priorities and advocates for students of all abilities.

Maseberg-Tomlinson has been on the front line helping problem-solve and address very challenging and delicate situations for students on a daily basis and has become a trusted campus partner. Maseberg-Tomlinson treats all students equitably and gives them thorough and thoughtful consideration, many times when having to share news the students did not want to hear. This type of work can be challenging and is often underappreciated. Maseberg-Tomlinson helps students succeed in every aspect of well-being.

His support for his staff is unmatched as a supervisor. Additionally, Maseberg-Tomlinson has been a committed member of faculty senate for many years, and he continues to demonstrate his desire to see his peers rise together stronger than they would be alone.
