Annual emergency light testing

Submitted by James Seymour

Annual emergency light testing has been scheduled for several K-State buildings. The following tests are scheduled from 4-7 a.m.:

  • Tuesday, Nov. 7, Thompson Hall and Nichols Hall.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 8, Call Hall and Dole Hall.
  • Thursday, Nov. 9, Leasure Hall and English Building.
  • Friday, Nov. 10, Ward Hall.

The test will consist of turning off circuit breakers for circuits that provide power to emergency lighting fixtures. The entire building will not lose power, only specific circuits will be affected. Any electrical devices on these circuits will lose power during the test. The tests are scheduled from 4-7 a.m. to minimize disruption for building users. Normal power should be restored no later than 7 a.m.
