Upcoming emergency lighting tests

Submitted by James Seymour

Annual 90-minute emergency lighting tests are scheduled for several campus buildings. All of these tests are scheduled from 4-7 a.m.

• Monday, Oct. 16 — Chemistry Biochemistry Building.

• Tuesday, Oct. 17 — King Hall.

• Wednesday, Oct. 18 — Ice Hall.

• Thursday, Oct. 19 — Eisenhower and Holton Halls.

• Friday, Oct. 20 — Anderson and Holtz Halls.

This test will consist of turning off circuit breakers for circuits identified as providing power to emergency lighting fixtures. This will not turn off power to the entire building; only specific circuits will be affected. Any electrical devices on these circuits will lose power during the test. These tests are scheduled to run from 4-7 a.m. to minimize disruption for building users. Normal power should be restored no later than 7 a.m.
