Nominate students for Catalyst

Submitted by Natalie Nusz

Catalyst is a semesterlong program facilitated by Blue Key Senior Honorary. It provides students the opportunity to invest in their own success, specifically with personal habits and lessons. Faculty and staff are asked to nominate students who would thrive in this course.

Throughout the semester, participants interact in small groups, discussing self-mastery and leadership, accountability through collaboration and how to maintain momentum. This program will give you an opportunity to have fun, build relationships and discover your capabilities as an individual along the way.

Catalyst is open to all students, with a focus on freshmen and sophomores. Catalyst members experience a semester of topics related to personal growth. This will include goal setting, building motivation, establishing self-confidence, evaluating relationships, dealing with obstacles and many more.

Blue Key leaders engage the small group with discussions centered around a customized curriculum designed to help students grow. There will also be opportunities to listen to stories from passionate leaders from K-State in large lectures. There is no cost to participate in Catalyst, and the lessons learned will remain long after you graduate from K-State. Catalyst participants will have the opportunity to compete for a scholarship through a TED Talk-style competition. More details will be available in the spring to Catalyst students.

To nominate a student, please use this online form.
