Roberta Maldonado Franzen to present at international summit

Submitted by Cailin Riley

Roberta Maldonado Franzen, director of people and culture at K-State Libraries, will give a presentation at the International Leadership Association 2023 Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Virtual Summit taking place June 21-22.

Her presentation, "Strategic Organizational Development: A Case Study for Disrupting, Evolving, and Immersing Leading from a Diversity and Inclusion Lens," will engage meaningful strategies in using leadership practices as a conduit for systemic change in organizational development. She will provide examples of sustainable change with outcomes rooted in racial equity and inclusion. Leadership practitioners will be introduced to strategies that disrupt, evolve and immerse learning from an individual, team and organization perspective.

Maldonado Franzen is sharing her joint research with doctoral candidate RJ Youngblood.

Now in its third year, this summit brings together diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging leaders, leadership researchers and development professionals to explore how leadership and practice drive inclusion and belonging for the greater good.
