The Institute for Student Learning Assessment is Nov. 12 at the K-State Student Union. It is an annual conference featuring best-practice posters, sessions and workshops focused on assessment of student learning. This is an opportunity for all K-State faculty and staff to share theory, research and application through professional development and networking.

Call for proposals: The institute seeks proposals on assessment and instruction that encourage learner engagement, apply to the work of participants and are informed by theory and research. Deadline for proposal submission is Sept. 15. View suggested topics and submission information.

Register to attend: Registration is free for K-State faculty and staff. Deadline for registration is Nov. 4. View additional details and register now at the institute website.

Keynote speaker: Paul Gaston, Trustees professor of English, Kent State University, and co-author of "The Degree Qualifications Profile," will speak on The Degree Qualifications Profile, a framework that illustrates what students should be expected to know and be able to do after earning a degree regardless of major or specialization.
