Beach Museum Garden Party June 8

Submitted by Cindi Morris

View displays and demonstrations related to native plants and learn more about the new native plant garden "The Meadow" located behind the Beach Museum from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 8. Refreshments will be served.

Representatives from Kansas State University's landscape architecture and interior design, horticulture department, and the Konza Prairie will be available for information and questions.

Visitors will view grass seeds and plant cells, decorate a personal flower pot for planting native seeds and participate in a gallery search through "Earth Works" with prizes.

The themes for summer programming will be drawn from the exhibition "Earth Works: Selections from the Permanent Collection" which runs June 4-Aug. 4 and complements the Manhattan Public Library's summer reading theme "Dig into Reading."
