March 14 Communicator's Brown Bag about emergency communications

Submitted by Katie Mayes

This month's Communicator's Brown Bag session will feature a presentation on emergency communications. The brownbag will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 14, in the Cottonwood Room, K-State Student Union.

Erinn Barcomb-Peterson, director of news and editorial services for the Division of Communications and Marketing, and Captain Don Stubbings, K-State Police, will make a presentation about what goes into communication about emergencies on campus, such as with weather. They will also address how communications are handled on campus via K-State Alerts, and from a public relations standpoint via media.

The Communicator's Brown Bag series is designed to inform and connect communicators across campus. Save the date for April's brown bag Thursday, April 18, in the Big 12 Room, K-State Student Union. Topic to be announced!
