Researchers published in protein science journal

A team of K-State researchers were published in the latest issue of Proteins: Structure, Function and Bioinformatics, a protein science journal. The researchers include: Chunju An, former research associate in biology; Scott Lovell director of the Protein Structure Laboratory at the University of Kansas; Michael Kanost, university distinguished professor and department head of biochemistry; Kevin Bataille, protein crystallographer at the Argonne National Laboratory; and Kristin Michel, assistant professor of biology. The publication is titled "Crystal structure of native Anopheles gambiae serpin-2, a negative regulator of melanization in mosquitoes." The article can be read here.
