Celebrate National Postdoctoral Appreciation Week Sept. 19-23
Postdoctoral researchers play an integral role in K-State's research, scholarly, and creative activity and discovery. Postdocs help researchers complete projects, author publications, secure external funding and incubate innovative ideas. Take time to appreciate them during National Postdoctoral Appreciation Week Sept. 19-23.
The National Postdoctoral Association has sponsored appreciation events since 2009. The K-State Postdoctoral Association was established in October 2014 to support our more than 140 colleagues engaged in research at K-State and to help make our institution a great place to work. The Office of the Vice President for Research sponsored the inaugural K-State postdoc appreciation event in 2015, and we continue to work in partnership with the Graduate School to make strides to better serve this vital group.
Mark your calendars and register for the events. Postdocs, faculty and others who work with postdocs are encouraged to attend. To ask questions or join the association, email Nickolas Anderson at email@example.com. Share your appreciation for postdocs or photos from the week with the hashtag #NPAW2016 on Twitter and Facebook.
