Ashley Motley

Ashley Motley is joining the Career Center as the liaison to the College of Arts & Sciences.

Career Center liaisons are responsible for the coordination, supervision and reporting of all college-based undergraduate career services.

Motley graduated from Kansas State University in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in communication studies with a minor in leadership studies. During her time as a student, she worked as a career specialist and found her passion for helping students.

"I graduated from the College of Arts & Sciences, so I remember the questions I had when I graduated," Motley said.

Motley attended graduate school at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, where she earned a master's degree in education in curriculum and instruction with a focus in student affairs. At the University of South Florida, Motley worked in the Office of Student Employment Services, eventually becoming the assistant director.

"I just enjoy helping students," Motley said. "I love watching them create and meet career goals."

Motley said she also enjoys helping students achieve their dreams, such as landing a dream internship.

Motley is excited about returning to her alma mater.

"I missed being in a traditional college town," Motley said. "I'm happy to be wearing purple again."
