New director of human resources selected for K-State Student Union

Cindy Diederich has been selected as the director of human resources for the K-State Student Union. Her appointment is effective Dec. 1.
As director, Diederich will be responsible for directing, planning, implementing and evaluating all the human resource operational functions for the Union, including employee relations, policies and procedures, recruitment and retention, benefits administration and analysis, compensation and classification, hiring, terminating, performance management reviews, training and development, payroll administration, worker’s compensation, onboarding and safety program.
Diederich, a K-State alumna, has her certification as a senior professional in human resources, or SPHR, from the Human Resource Certification Institute, or HRCI. This certification is earned by those who have mastered the strategic and policymaking aspects of human resource management.
