Entomology doctoral student earns top honors at international conference

Entomology doctoral student Shelly Wiggam, co-advised by Greg Zolnerowich and Brian McCornack, was awarded first place in the doctoral oral presentation category at the 67th annual International Meeting of the Society for Range Management, Feb. 8-13, in Orlando, Fla.

Her paper "Pollinator responses to patch-burn grazing" was selected as the best from a strong pool of competitors.

The Society for Range Management is the professional society dedicated to supporting persons who work with rangelands and have a commitment to their sustainable use. Rangelands comprise almost one-half of all the lands in the world. They are extremely important to society for the goods and services they produce and for the ecological services they provide. The society is dedicated to the conservation and sustainable management of rangelands for the benefit of current societies and for future generations.
