create an html signature in apple mail
Steps for Apple Mail
- Open signature.html in the Safari web browser.
- Click “File / Save As” and name it signature. Make sure format web archive is selected.
- Open Apple Mail.
- Click “Mail / Preferences” and select the “Signatures” tab.
- Select the account you would like to add your signature to. Click the + button. Name the signature (i.e., Work).
- Exit Apple Mail.
- Click on your hard drive, click on your home/ Library folder/ Mail folder/ Signatures Folder.
- There will be a long, randomized file name. If you have more than one, look for the one with the newest date.
- Drag that file to your desktop, and drag the signature.webarchive file into the signatures folder.
- Copy the file name from the file you dragged onto your desktop, and replace the signature.archive file name with the copied one so it is now the same randomized file name.
- Open Apple Mail.
- You should now be able to select your signature from the dropdown menu on the righthand corner above the text box.
Your e-mails should now include your signature.
