Affirmative Action Plan

Kansas State University is fully committed to the concept and practice of equal opportunity and affirmative action in all aspects of employment.

KSU established the Office of Institutional Equity to provide leadership for the university's commitment and efforts to promote institutional equity and a diverse university community.  Although the Office of Institutional Equity has been charged with ensuring the university's compliance to federal, state, and local affirmative action and equal opportunity laws, providing affirmative action and equal opportunity is the shared responsibility of the entire KSU community. This integrated approach to equal opportunity and diversity means that all students, faculty, staff, and visitors should find hospitable and equitable treatment in every program and facility on campus.

The KSU Affirmative Action Program is organized in compliance with several federal and state laws, executive orders and implementing regulations. As a federal contractor, KSU is required to have a written affirmative action compliance program. The program must include identification and analysis of problem areas, the establishment of goals and timetables, and specific result-oriented action items designed to attain goals.
