Nontraditional student scholarships for women: Application deadline extended to April 17

Submitted by Tresa Landis

The deadline for female nontraditional students to apply for scholarships from the local branch of the American Association of University Women has been extended through April 17. The scholarships are administered through the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation. Up to three incentive scholarships of $1,000 each, in addition to one $1,500 award, are available for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Applicants must be considered full time according to K-State standards, have a minimum of two complete semesters of credit remaining before graduation, and have at least a three-year lapse in education, which may be continuous or not. Refer to the application form for complete information and instructions to apply. Undergraduate and graduate student candidates will be considered.

Visit the Manhattan Branch website or email manhattanksaauw@gmail.com to learn more about national fellowships and grants, branch monthly meetings and programs, membership benefits and the K-State student organization. Membership is open to anyone holding an associate, equivalent or higher degree. E-student affiliation for all full-time K-State undergraduate students is free.
