Greek Affairs Mission

The K-State Fraternity and Sorority community is dedicated to the personal and professional development of members through a wide range of activities and experiences. We are committed to promoting life-long involvement in individual organizations, as well as our collective community to positively impact the lives of both undergraduate and alumni members while building and maintaining a fraternity and sorority community worth enough to serve the University and the people of Manhattan.

Continuous Open Bidding

This option is sometimes available -- depending on limiting factors -- shortly after the close of the annual fall K-State Panhellenic Sorority Formal Membership Recruitment process through the last day of classes each spring and to currently enrolled K-State women only.

You may contact the Office of Greek Affairs or chapters directly to see if they are actively recruiting potential members. Chapter contact information can be found here.

How it works

Any chapter whose membership roster falls below 192 members is eligible for continuous open bidding (COB). Some years there are many options, and others there might not be any openings until the spring semester. Typically the most openings exist at the start of the spring semester. If you are interested in COB, please email Blair Lewis, Panhellenic Council Director of Continuous Open Bidding and Retention, at bmlewis@k-state.edu. She will offer direction to you through the process.
