Fraternity & Sorority Exploration Night at K-State Olathe
The Fraternity and Sorority Exploration Night at K-State Olathe, held on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 5:00 pm, is a one of a kind opportunity for High School students to learn about the benefits of joining a fraternity or sorority at K-State . The aim of this program is to introduce high school students in the Kansas City area to Greek Life at Kansas State University. Students will have the opportunity to meet current members of the K-State Greek community, as well as alumni. Throughout the evening, students will hear from distinguished K-State Alumnus, Dr. Bernard Franklin, who currently serves as the International President of Delta Upsilon Fraternity, as well as serving as the Special Assistant to the Vice President for Student Life at K-State. Women will be able to see a fashion show detailing what to wear during formal recruitment, as well as learn more about what it's like to be a member of a sorority at K-State. Men will be able to get insider information about fraternity recruitment and why being part of a fraternity can help make a your college experience great! Representatives from individual organizations will be in attendance to answer questions and provide more information about their specific fraternity or sorority. Parents are encouraged and welcome to attend, and special programming will be offered for them.

7:15 pm Fraternity, Sorority, and Parent Program

Students and parents can attend individual sessions, personalized for them.

Men will meet current fraternity members and learn more about what it means to be Greek at K-State, and how the fraternity recruitment process works.

Women can view a fashion show detailing what to wear during formal recruitment, as well as learn from current members of K-State's sororities what makes being a Sorority woman special.

Parents are presented the opportunity to ask the 'tough questions' about Fraternity and Sorority life at K-State by hearing from K-State's Greek Affairs Staff, as well as leaders of the Interfraternity Council and Panhellenic Council.
- Explore the browsing fair, where each chapter will have an individual table. Students can make connections with fraternity men and sorority women currently at K-State, learn about some individual chapters, as well as ask any general questions you might have about K-State.
