Standing Committees

Alumni Interfraternity Council

The council consists of chapter advisors, building corporation chairpersons, and other alumni that have an interest in the advancement of K-State’s fraternities. Alumni appointments to the Finance Committee, the Personnel Committee, and the Interfraternity Council Judicial Committee are made by this body.

Flint Hills Panhellenic Association

The association is the recognized alumnae body from which all alumnae appointments to the Finance Committee and Personnel Committee are made.

Finance Committee

The committee consists of two alumni, two alumnae, and four undergraduates and is chaired by the IFC and PHC presidents. The committee is responsible for the preliminary review of proposed annual IFC and PHC budgets and conducts quarterly meetings to review matters relating to the Greek Affairs, IFC, and PHC budgets. The committee also suggests budgeting and financial best practices as needed.

Personnel Committee

In conjunction with the university, the committee conducts an annual review and evaluation of the Greek Affairs office and the director of Greek Affairs. A subset of this committee is involved in hiring Greek Affairs professional staff as vacancies occur.

Search Committee

As the need for new Greek Affairs employees arises, a subset of the personnel committee will be formed, consisting of available members of the personnel committee as well as various students and alumni/ae at large. This group is responsible for reviewing employment applications and submitting a recommendation for employment to the Director of Greek Affairs, who makes final hiring decisions. Search committee member information is not published.

IFC Judicial Board

The IFC Judicial Board is the disciplinary review board for the Interfraternity Council. The board is composed of four alumni: two alumni IFC appointees and two appointees by the dean of student life. It also consists of all of the IFC executive officers. The board has the university and Interfraternity Council authority to determine whether or not violations of IFC policies have occurred and how to respond. The board has the authority to remove a chapter from campus.
