About greek life
Friendship
Brotherhood and sisterhood
Choosing Greek life means living with a group of men or women who have similar goals and values. Fraternities and sororities offer a living situation where new friendships are made that will last a lifetime. That sense of brotherhood or sisterhood is nurtured through shared work, community service projects, intramurals, and the successes and frustrations of involvement with a self-governing body.
If you were to ask any Greek member the most important aspect of his or her college experience, you’ll no doubt hear about the lasting friendships made through the fraternity or sorority. These friendships are not exclusive to Greek organizations, but programs and activities are geared toward enduring interpersonal relationships.
You now have the choice of 30 fraternities and 17 sororities at K-State. You can pick an organization with any characteristic or combination of characteristics you desire.

The Greek experience is for life and a wonderful investment. Fraternities and sororities provide a small, close group that provides you with a social network and helps build friendships that last a lifetime.
Greek organizations work hard during membership recruitment to find men and women they want to have in their chapter as their friends, but the final decision about whether to join is yours.
