Contribution Awards
Recognizing Individual Achievement
Daily outstanding actions are offered by outstanding individuals. These actions and ideals create the progress which is at the heart of the K-State Fraternity and Sorority Strategic Plan and the Fraternal Relevance Accreditation and Minimum Expectations program. Annually Greek Awards are offered not just to chapters for their positive contributions to relevance, but also to the many individuals making fraternal relevance possible.
The K-State Greek Affairs office is now accepting nominations for the Contribution Awards, to be offered at the annual Greek Awards ceremony. Contributions Awards are offered to individuals for the positive contributions to their self, their chapter, the Greek community and the Manhattan community. All nominations are to be submitted on the behalf of a chapter by a lead coordinator. Nominations must be submitted with the brief nominations form attached. The Greek Affairs staff encourages nomination materials to be creative in their development. Suggestions for the format of nomination include, but are certainly not limited to letter(s) of recommendation, video montages (youtube clips), CD/electronic presentations, PowerPoint slide shows, product examples (newsletters, articles, photos, etc.), presentation boards.
Successful nominees should have positively contributed to fraternity/sorority members' attainment of the K-State fraternity and sorority values: accountability, diversity, balance, growth, self-actualization, contribution, integrity, knowledge, creativity, relationships, and teamship.
All nominations should be submitted in the Greek Affairs office no later than noon April 6, 2009.
The 2009 Greek Awards ceremony will be hosted jointly be the Greek Affairs staff, and Interfraternity and Panhellenic Councils on Thursday, April 16.
