WHAT NEW MEMBERS CAN EXPECT ON BID DAY
As soon as membership invitations have been issued on Friday evening, August 21, new members will meet at the place designated for the sorority they are to pledge and then walk to the chapter house as a group.
Bid Day involves different fun-filled activities to acquaint new members with their new group of sisters. Casual summer shorts or capris, a T-shirt, and possibly a swimsuit are appropriate attire for the day.
New members will spend Friday night at their new sorority. Most chapters will keep new members engaged through 2 p.m.; all chapters plan to serve breakfast and lunch to their new members. Following celebrations at the chapter house, new members will head back to their residence hall.
