Gayle Spencer, Associate Dean of Student Life

Gayle Spencer

Gayle is currently the Associate Dean of Student Life and Director of Student Activities. In addition to advising Greek Affairs, she also advises the K-State's Student Governing Association and directs the Healthy Decisions program.

Prior to joining K-State in 1997 as Coordinator of Student Activities, Gayle spent nearly six years at the University of Notre Dame as an Assistant Director of Student Activities and Programming, and nearly five years at the University of Houston advising the student program board.

In 1999 she was elected to the National Association for Campus Activities board of directors for a two-year term. She was named interim adviser of the K-State's Panhellenic Council in 2004, shortly before being named assistant dean of student life.

Gayle has a bachelor's in business administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, a master's in college student personnel from Western Illinois University, and a doctorate in student counseling and student personnel services from K-State. 

Andrea Brown, Associate Director

Andrea BrownAndrea is originally from Shawnee, Kansas. She graduated summa cum laude from Kansas State University with a bachelor of science in psychology and a minor in leadership studies. She earned her master's degree in higher education administration from the University of Kansas. At KU, she worked as the Fraternity & Sorority Life Graduate Assistant with the Student Involvement & Leadership Center. Prior to returning home to K-State, Andrea spent four years as the Coordinator of Risk Managment Education and advisor to Panhellenic with the Department of Greek Life at Texas A&M University. Andrea joined Greek Affairs as the Associate Director in June 2011.

Andrea is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and is an active volunteer currently serving as a Membership & Panhellenic District Director. Andrea is an avid Kansas City Royals fan. 

Jenni Jones, Assistant Director

Jenni JonesJenni comes to K-State from Richmond, Virginia. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelor of science in nursing in 2008. She continued her education at VCU and graduated magna cum laude with a master’s degree in education, with a focus in college student development and counseling. At VCU, Jenni worked as a graduate assistant in Fraternity & Sorority Life, Student Organization Development, and Summer Programming. She also directly advised the College Panhellenic Council, Greek Week, and Order of Omega. Jenni joined Greek Affairs as the Assistant Director in June 2011.

Jenni is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Women's Fraternity and the Association of Fraternity and Sorority Advisors. She is excited to live in the Midwest for the first time and become a part of the K-State family. Go Cats! 

Paul Mintner, Graduate Assistant

Paul MintnerPaul is a 2010 graduate of Kansas State University in Political Science with a minor in Leadership Studies. He is originally from Higginsville, Missouri, and is pursuing a master's degree in Higher Education Administration. He will graduate in May 2012, and also spends time working with the Office of New Student Services and K-State's School of Leadership Studies.   

Paul is a member of Delta Sigma Phi, and is an alum of Blue Key Senior Honorary. In his free time, he follows K-State sports, Royals baseball, and enjoys listening to live music.

Emily Norton, Administrative Specialist

EmilyEmily is the Administrative Specialist for the Office of Greek Affairs. She is responsible for providing suppport to the Office of Greek Affairs Staff. Emily joined K-State in May 2010.

She is a native of Utah and moved to Manhattan with her husband and two cats. Emily graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor’s degree in History.

As the first person our visitors see in the office, Emily is always interacting with students and answering questions, providing resources and redirecting the men and women to where they need to go for information. She is very excited to be part of the K-State community!
