Sequester Your ETDR

In unusual circumstances, a student may request the University to sequester their work. Typically, this means the student's ETDR would not be distributed or made available online until a patent application process is completed.

Sequestration requests are not authorized if the reason for requesting the document be sequestered is the students' work has not yet been submitted for publication.

To request sequestration, follow steps outlined on the Request to Sequester an Electronic Thesis, Dissertation, or Report (ETDR) form. If your request is approved, you should complete only steps 1 through 4 and 9 through 12 from the ETDR Submission Process.

For full details on sequestration, see the Sequestration section of the Graduate Handbook.
