Step 8: Pay Appropriate Fees
Graduating students must pay the fees shown below. The total amount of your fees will be posted to your university account and a bill will be sent to your local mailing address. Payment must be made to the Cashiers office. Payment can be made in a variety of ways; visit the Cashiers Office site for details. When making payments, please advise the Cashier's Office to credit payment to the specific fee category or categories noted in the chart below.

ETDR Submission Fee
This $100 fee replaces the binding fee and the printing costs for final copies and will be used to support ETDR process and support services.
UMI/ProQuest Fee
Doctoral students must submit an electronic version of their dissertation for microfilming and archiving by UMI/ProQuest. There is a $55 fee for this service, payable through the Cashiers Office.
Copyright Fee
Although recommended, registering for copyright is optional for both masters and doctoral students. Doctoral students may register for copyright of their dissertation during the UMI/ProQuest submission process. If you elect to do this, there is a $65 fee, payable through the K-State Cashiers Office.
As an alternative, masters and doctoral students may register directly with the U.S. Copyright Office. If you choose this option, there is a $45 fee, payable to the U.S. Copyright Office. See the U.S. Copyright Office site for details and instructions.
