EPAP Day was a huge success!!!

  • The 5th annual Electrical Power Affiliates Program (EPAP) Day served as a mini career fair. Seven companies had displays and representatives there to visit with all majors within the College of Engineering.  EPAP companies include:  Burns & McDonnell, Fishnet Security (not present), Kansas Electric Cooperatives, Kansas City Power & Light, Omaha Public Power District, Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Sega and Westar Energy.
  • Mock Interviews - 23 students signed up for mock interviews to improve their interview skills for the university's career day later that month.
  • FREE lunch (catered by Ramblers) was provided from 12:00 pm - 1 pm.   
  • A Poster session was held from 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm. Posters were presented by EPAP project award recipients, followed by a reception. 
  • PRIZE drawings were held throughout the day, with the big prizes given away at 3:30 pm.  Winners had to be present to win. To enter the prize drawings, students needed an EPAP card and a sticker from each of the seven companies present.

This year EPAP Day included a Young Graduates Panel & Speed Networking, on Tuesday, September 9, 6;00pm - 8:00 pm in Fiedler Auditorium and the Engineering Atrium. The EPAP sponsors sent a few of their recently graduated employee's to visit and answer student questions.  Students were asked to rotate every 10 minutes, in order to meet with all the companies.   

Pizza and drinks were provided

Prize drawings were held at 8:00pm
