English Language Program

Tutoring

Tutor helping a student

The ELP Testing and Tutoring Center (TTC) helps students improve their English language skills.  In addition to serving ELP students, the TTC also works with graduate students preparing for the SPEAK test and with international students who need English help in their university classes.  International community members who are interested in conversation practice are also welcome. Tutoring is offered Monday-Thursday.  The tutors are ELP faculty and GTAs.

Students may have walk-in sessions at the tutoring center during operating hours, but can also make appointments online.

In addition to tutoring, the SPEAK exam is held the first Friday of each month and the English Proficiency Test is given at the beginning and end of each semester.

The TTC is located at Wildcat Landing, 1814 Claflin Road near Throckmorton Hall, Ackert Hall and Goodnow Hall.
