Short Biography:

I was born and raised on a farm by a small town named Home, Kansas (so actually when people asked, I could say I was from Home). I attended Frankfort High School. When I graduated, I started working for the Department of Animal Sciences. I was fortunate to be able to work part-time for the Department while I was raising my five children - John, Scott, Jarrod, Adam and Ellen, and then returned to the department full-time. My two youngest children, Adam and Ellen, are currently attending Kansas State University. My husband, John, works for Marshall County and we own his family farm outside of Frankfort.

Brief Work History:

In my current position with the Department of Animal Sciences and Industry, I work with a lot of the events hosted by the department - Cattlemen's Day, Swine Day, Sheep Day, Stocker Conference, Swine Classic, etc., which is an exciting part of the position. I have worked in various positions, both part-time and full-time within the department and also worked at the Pottawatomie County Extension Office in Westmoreland.

Personal Interests:

My two grandsons, Cade and Johnny, are at the top of my list for personal interests.

Additional Comments:

I have learned so much since being elected to the Classified Senate. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or ideas that you would like the Classified Senate to address.
