ALIANZA 2013-2014 Undergraduate Student Scholarship Application
ALIANZA will sponsor (4) $500 undergraduate student scholarships for the 2013-2014 academic
year. Eligible candidates are currently enrolled Hispanic/Latino undergraduates with
a 2.5 GPA or higher. Scholarship recipients must attend K-State as an undergraduate student
during the 2012-2013 academic year. Previous recipients of this award are not eligible.

National Hispanic Scholarship Fund
The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) is the nation's leading organization supporting
Hispanic higher education. HSF was founded in 1975 with a vision to strengthen the
country by advancing college education among Hispanic Americans-the largest minority
segment of the U.S. population.

Hispanic College Fund
The Hispanic College Fund is the product of a dedicated group of Hispanic businessmen
and women who were inspired to respond to the alarming growth in the number of talented
Hispanic students who could not afford a college education.
League of United Latin American Citizens
Since 1932 LULAC Councils have been selling tacos, tamales, having dances, etc., to
raise monies for scholarships that are given to Hispanic students meeting certain
guidelines. Several years ago the LULAC National Educational Service Centers (LNESC),
began the LULAC National Scholarship Fund.
Hispanic Scholarship Fund Institute
Since 1990 the Department of Energy and, more specifically, the Office of Environmental
Management, has invested in the talents of promising Latino students through the Environmental
Management Scholarship.
Luso-American Education Foundation
The Luso-American Education Foundation was organized by a group of citizens of Portuguese
origin in July 1963.
Portuguese Heritage Scholarship Foundation
The Portuguese Heritage Scholarship Foundation (PHSF) is a non-profit educational
organization established in 1989 to promote education within the Portuguese-American
community.
