Strategic Initiatives

The Office of the Vice President for Administration and Finance leads through operational excellence to advance the university’s mission and vision of becoming the next-generation land-grant university. Our mission is inspired by the goals established by the Next-Gen K-state strategic plan.

Our review will ensure the university budget model incentivizes research and interdisciplinary activities, encourages enrollment growth, provides greater financial accountability and preserves mission-critical activities.

This project will develop the tools needed to guide K-State through all future campus planning projects to accommodate the needs of a growing university.

The Campus Physical Security Plan reevaluates the ways we physically secure facilities and campus spaces.

This new software will modernize the university travel and expense processes with enhanced travel data, streamlined invoicing and reimbursement and fully digitized expense reporting.

The university is now accepting proposals to address the backlog of past due maintenance and renewal needs for building systems and components.

The university will be establishing a unified, comprehensive performance appraisal form and a new electronic learning and performance management system.

This initiative seeks to implement a new, optimized universal time and leave system for use universitywide.
