Media advisory: K-State veterinary medicine team provides eye exams for military dogs at McConnell on May 30

ANNOUNCEMENT: As part of a national event, an ophthalmology team from the Kansas State University Veterinary Health Center will be in Wichita to provide free vision exams for military working dogs at McConnell Air Force Base.
Media are invited to attend the eye exams on Tuesday, May 30, and must RSVP and provide credentials. Media should meet at 11 a.m. at the McConnell Visitor Center, 52802 Kansas St., Building 169, McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas, 67221. Media should call John Van Winkle at 316-712-1039 to arrange access on McConnell.
The vision exams are part of an American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists/Epicur Pharma National Service Animal Eye Exam event. Read the full news release about the eye exams.
ARRANGEMENTS: Media members attending the vision exams for military working dogs must email jtidball@k-state.edu by noon Monday, May 29. Media credentials are required to attend the event at McConnell Air Force Base.
Photography and videography during the eye exams will be allowed.
MEDIA AVAILABILITY: Personnel with the K-State Veterinary Health Center and McConnell Air Force Base will be available for interviews.
